Birds wake my mind As dawn paints a flame coloured skies. dream curtains undrawn, New day of soft splendour is born. An afternoon rainshower drawing near slowly.

Taking their name from the "Eloi", the futuristic race of people in H.G. Wells' The Time Machine, ELOY was initially formed in in Germany. Inspired by THE SHADOWS and THE BEATLES, they became one of the major bands in the progressive rock scene highly influenced by the space rock of PINK FLOYD.

Oct 15,  · Colours is considered one of Eloy's most accessible, mainstream albums. True enough, it does have lot of pop/rock elements which should have a broader appeal than previous and subsequent releases but I still feel strong Progressive vibes. All the songs on Colours range from slow medium to medium in tempo/5(12).

Marginally the weakest effort in Eloy's remarkably consistent eight album stretch running from Inside to opera.granigdagatiussamujinn.infoinfos is a more eclectic release than the band's four previous LPs, over which they developed their trademark brand of synth-driven space rock/symphonic prog. In many places this album sounds that a conscious step towards the symphonic progressive mainstream- an odd decision /5(22).
